OUR STORY

i-Care was first established and began trading in 2008 providing domiciliary care in Cardiff.

In January 2013 Mr & Mrs C Fry purchased the business. At time of purchase i-Care was delivering 900 hours of care in Cardiff. To date, i-Care Cardiff is delivering nearly 2000 hours of care each week. i-Care Cardiff has grown in size with not only the hours delivered but also the number of staff employed both in the community and office settings. The branch still continues to grow and deliver good quality care.

Since acquiring i-Care the company has moved from strength to strength and expanded into different counties across South Wales and the South West of England.

In June 2013 i-Care Swansea was established. Lisa Taylor (Operations Director) opened a branch in Swansea with zero hours of care. By June 2016 i-Care Swansea was delivering up to 1300 hours each week and now is one of the biggest branches delivering almost 2200 hours of care each week.

Both Cardiff and Swansea branch re located to larger offices due to growing numbers of support staff required.

In January 2014 the opportunity presented itself to purchase Oakville Homecare Services based in South West England. The company was an established company based in Frome – Somerset area. The branch continues to deliver up to 900 hours of care each week. We have recently just congratulated two members of the care team with a ‘Long Term Service Award’ as they have been in employment with Oakville now trading as i-Care for 20 years.

In May 2014 Beechley Care Services Ltd was purchased by i-Care. The branch was established in the Fairwater area of Cardiff. i-Care Cardiff and Beechley Care Services LTD combined services with the transition of customers and care staff.

In December 2014 i-Care purchased Autumn Leaves Homecare which was based in Malpas near Newport . The branch which is now based in Cwmbran covers Caerphilly, Newport and Torfaen commissioning authorities. When i-Care first purchased Autumn Leaves Homecare, the delivery hours each week were 500. Now the branch is delivering over 1500 hours each week with a great potential of growth in the area.

"I am very impressed with the i-care carers who attend to me. I have used i-care since March 2009 and have found the carers to be friendly and pay particular attention to my needs. I require preparation time for medication, feeding etc, and I am very pleased that i-care was able to provide appropriate visit times to accommodate my needs."
